Having sorted out the passenger side front window upright, it was time to look at the drivers side, and again it was fairly heavily pitted. So to be both consistent and to ensure a good job was done on all aspects of the van, this section also needed to be replaced.

First off the pitted section needs to be cut back to good solid OG metal to see what repairs (if any) need to take place underneath

A small section needed repair before the whole area gets a thorough cleaning up

The area then gets thoroughly cleaned up

Then a suitable replacement section is measured and cut to length…

…before getting carefully positioned and clamped into place ready to be finally welded in place to complete the repair!
