Been another couple of long days lying under the bus. Going over the areas you’ve already painted was always going to be tough. The initial thrill of seeing the aluminium coloured Epoxy Mastic 121 transformation was going to be hard act to follow, but it was time to crack on with the red oxide coloured, second and final coat of the Epoxy Mastic 121…
The first coat transformed the underneath, but the second and final coat should really help provide additional long-term protection for the buses main structural components.
Not quite as bright a red as some of the pics show (internal lighting), but in the daylight, it blends in pretty well, not that many people will get to see it! Another case of having spent a lot of time and effort into getting something done, which most people will never see or know about! The kind of craziness that can only come from owning a vintage VW camper!
Hopefully this should help provide some longer term protection for the underneath of the bus from the elements…
Quite a difference from where we started! It took some time going through the different stages of preparation to get to this, the second and final coat.
Hopefully it will be worth it in the long run!
Now time to let it fully cure and harden, good job there are other bits an’ bobs to do on the bus in the meantime!
