Well happy days, the wheels are back from the painters, all looking fresh in a few coats of Silver White L82, quite the transformation from when I originally picked them up!
However, I’m sure some of the eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed they are not quite finished yet! 12 of the hubcap clips are broken or missing, so they will need replacing with new clips. Ideally I should have drilled the remains of the broken clips out before I got them blasted/painted, but due to a series of circumstances, they weren’t.
Not the end of the world, I asked the painter to give me a small tin of ready mixed paint, so once the remains of the clips are drilled out, I can get the new clips fitted and get them painted up to match.
Still lots to get done, so not sure if I’ll be rolling on these 15″ steelies to Ninove or not…
