With the brakes all sorted, and the sun shining, it would be rude to not take the split screen camper out for a test drive, after all, those brake shoes won’t bed in all by themselves now will they…

The brakes are now just so much better, the guys at Resto Classics have got them set up really nicely! The brake pedal is nice and high, and the brakes are a lot more responsive, which greatly increases your confidence when driving the Split. Not that I’m going tearing around in it just now, after all the new 1600cc twin carb engine is still being run in, so 50 mph tops at the moment!

One of the great joys of living near the coast is that you have easy access to fantastic views which you can never really tire of, regardless of the weather. Nothing quite like parking up on the sea front and watch the sea do its thing!
