Well, my original non-original interior panels are coming along nicely… OK, I know they won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but the beauty of this interior is that nothing original gets harmed… well unless you count the original letterpress posters by graphic artist, printmaker and designer Anthony Burrill – sometimes you have to break things to make new things!

It’s taken a while to get to this stage, but I now at least I just about have a set of panels for the bus! It’s almost like there is an interior in progress…

Distressed Letterpress
I’ve had fun playing around with various feature posters and colours on the different boards, along with a few ‘technical’ issues along the way, but in the end, the boards have come out OK and have a nice distressed and aged look of authenticity about them. It will be interesting to see them as set in the bus itself…

Now there is the ‘just’ the task of actually getting them fitted into the bus! At least I have created a set of full size thick paper templates to help transfer over the original holes positions and then transfer them over to the new panels.

Inspired interior
At least with this stage of the panels completed, I should be able to claim some of the kitchen, bedroom and living room floor back. Well that’s the theory!

Once the cab door cards are fitted, there is some additional door ‘bling’ that I’ve been waiting to fit for ages…

Design inspiration
It will be strange once all the new interior panels are fitted, I’ve grown to love the space-aged funky silver of the Triso Super 10 Plus Insulation 🙂

Reminds me, I need to refit the speakers again and maybe see if I can get them working again!

Not sure this style of interior will appeal to everyone, but the main thing is that it’s something that we both love. Now to try to get it all fitted in time…
