With the engine lid cleaned up, it was time to get it bare metalled so we can see what is going on under neath the previous paint…

As you can see, the previous low spots where filler had been used previously were in fact pretty small, so these will not take much to make good prior to re-painting.

Before long, the engine lid is completely bare metalled and ready for prep and paint. Soon it will be looking as good as new again, as if it had just come out of the factory!
