OK, progress continues and it’s great to see new metal and panels going back in as the repairs start bringing life back to the bus.
A new repair panel for the lower front nose is un-picked and the sections cleaned up and coated with red oxide primer to ensure there are no areas of exposed metal left to rust away from the inside.

The panel then gets welded into place…

before the front surface gets treated with more red oxide primer…

The process then gets repeated with the front section of the repair panel, first it is cleaned up and treated with red oxide primer…

…before getting welded into position

…then it can be bare metaled ready for the final finishing stages

The lower nose is now beginning to look like it should again!

Some more work on the cab steps. The inner repairs are cleaned up and coated in a protective coat of red oxide primer…

…prior to the new metal making up the inner section is welded back into place ready for further finishing.

The step begins to begin to take shape…
