Import buses So far it all looks pretty good huh? Well it’s a US imported bus so that’s what’s to be expected, right? Wrong!
A journey of transformation
It seemed like a good idea at the time. An Early Bay Westfalia SO67 camper, what’s not to like?
I had just sold a VW bus when I saw this Early Bay Westfalia for sale. I was toying with getting another camper, and Bay campers had the advantage over splitscreen buses in that they often came with camper interiors.

An Early Bay Westfalia seemed like a great option, especially as it had pretty much all of its original interior with it. Unfortunately, it had no history with it and wasn’t an original paint bus. Unfortunately, it wasn’t too long before issues started to present themselves. It was a case of do I bail on it, or do I go in and get the camper sorted from top to bottom?

In the end, I decided to get the bus sorted and returned more or less to its original stock factory condition again. It was a long road, with many issues along the way. Was it worth it in the end?
It was quite a journey from start to finish. Read all about it below…
