So with the rear brakes on the Split screen camper sorted, it was time to move up to the front end and get that equally sorted. Before the brakes were reassembled and the various new components fitted, it was time to replace the front brake flexi hose that had begun to wear through on its outside protective sheath whilst it was easy to access with the wheels and brake assemblies removed.
With the flexi hose replaced, it was time to refit the cleaned up backing plates and begin building up the brake assemblies, starting by connecting up the new brake cylinders…
…before moving on to refitting the front brake mechanism components along with a brand new pair of brake shoes to both sides.
Then it is a case of getting the hubs and wheels refitted, flushing the old brake fluid clear and then refilling with clean brake fluid and bleeding the brake hydraulics front to rear to get the brake balance spot on!
With the brakes all sorted, it was no longer a case of the split screen camper pulling to one side and Breaking Bad, but now all was breaking good, so I guess there is now no need to better call Saul!
